Lactation Cookies Recipe – Yum!

Lactation cookies are not your typical sweet treat; they are specially crafted with ingredients that boost milk production. Common ingredients include oats, flaxseed and brewer’s yeast, each playing a crucial role in enhancing lactation. Oats provide a rich source of complex carbohydrates and fiber, while flaxseed offers omega-3 fatty acids and Brewer’s yeast is packed with B-vitamins.

Ingredients:
1x cup butter
1x cup sugar
1x cup firmly packed brown sugar
4x tablespoons water
2x tablespoons flax seed meal
2x eggs
1x teaspoon vanilla
3x cups flour
1x teaspoon baking soda
1x teaspoon salt
3x cups oats
1x cup chocolate chips
2 -4 tablespoons brewer’s yeast (optional)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Mix the flaxseed meal and water and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar well.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add flaxseed mix and vanilla, and beat well.
Sift together flour, brewer’s yeast, baking soda, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to the butter mix.
Stir in oats and chips.
Scoop onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes.

Let set for a couple minutes then remove from tray.
